Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Document automation software is designed to be a central repository for all a business’s documents, while making changes manageable and consistent.
For example, if you wanted to change a telephone number on a letter, you make this change in one place using the document automation software, and this change ripples through to every other document that uses it.
When compiling a document using the software, the user could select the paragraphs and standard text that is applicable to the communication, safe in the knowledge that this is the most up to date and accurate version.
In its simplest form, RPA can be used to replace the end user. For each document that needs creating RPA can identify the scenario, and the piece of text that needs selecting, automatically creating the document by comparing data held in multiple systems.
All standard text could be stored in a central location that only limited users have access to, which would help with version control. This location could then be accessed by the robot when generating a document where it would essentially copy and paste the text into the document it is creating.
